What is a Business Insurance Pack?

Think of a Business Insurance Pack as a customizable shield for your daily operations. Instead of forcing you to buy and manage five or six separate insurance policies, it bundles all your essential protections—from Public Liability to Asset Protection (building, stock, and equipment)—into one single, easy-to-manage policy.

The best part? It is completely flexible. You only select and pay for the specific covers your business actually needs. It can help reduce gaps and paperwork by bringing your covers into one policy.

Business Insurance Pack bundled policy review

Bundle liability, property, machinery breakdown, and business interruption into a single policy.

How to Choose Your Business Insurance Limits

Your Business Insurance isn’t one-size-fits-all; limits depend entirely on your specific risks and contract needs.

Your Liability Limit should be driven by real-world exposures, such as minimums mandated by Australian landlords or head contractors.

Your Asset Cover must focus on today’s actual rebuilding and replacement costs—not purchase price—while factoring in peak stock periods. Instead of guessing, we analyze your exact profile to tailor a policy with the precise limits you genuinely need.

Evaluating business insurance policy limits and sum insured calculations

Precision sum-insured calculations avoiding costly underinsurance.

Commercial FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Public Liability is just one component of a Business Pack. Public Liability strictly covers you if a third party sues you for injury or property damage. A full Business Insurance Pack allows you to add extra sections to cover your own losses, such as fire damage to your building, theft of your stock, or breakdown of your machinery.
While buying a full Business Pack isn’t blanket mandated by federal law, specific parts of it are practically compulsory. Landlords will almost always refuse to lease you a commercial shop or cafe without seeing a CoC for Public Liability and Glass cover. Similarly, you cannot enter most trade sites or win commercial contracts without proof of insurance.
Think of it this way: Public Liability covers physical mishaps (e.g., a client trips over a cord in your office or you drop a tool on their floor). Professional Indemnity covers mental or financial mishaps caused by your expertise (e.g., you give a client incorrect financial advice, or a design layout that causes them to lose money). Many businesses bundle both for complete peace of mind.
There is no single price tag because insurance is calculated on risk. Insurers look at your industry (a mechanic or cafe carries more physical risk than a home-based accountant), your location, your annual turnover, how many staff you have, and the specific limits of cover you choose for your property and liability.
An excess is the out-of-pocket amount you agree to pay towards a claim before the insurer covers the rest (for example, the first $500 of a repair bill). Choosing a higher excess is a great insider trick to help lower your ongoing monthly or annual premium costs—just make sure it’s an amount you can comfortably afford to pay if an emergency happens.
Absolutely. Businesses evolve quickly. If you buy new commercial equipment, move to a bigger premises, take on more staff, or suddenly sign a major contract that requires a higher liability limit, just give your Lesure broker a call. We will arrange the change with your insurer and send you an updated Certificate of Currency once it is confirmed, usually the same day.
